Companion/Personal Care Services (CPCS) Services
Personal Care Services
Services centered around activities which many take for granted until illness, age, or an accident make performing them difficult. All provided by state licensed and certified homemaker-home health aides (CHHAs) and certified nurse aides (CNAs) under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee RNs. These professionals undergo vigorous screening and back-ground checks and are insured.
A CHHA/CNA carries out health care tasks as an extension of a registered professional nurse. A CHHA/CNA also aids with personal hygiene, housekeeping and other related supportive tasks for a client with health care needs in his/her home.
Companion Services
These are non-medical, basic supervision, and socialization services provided by unlicensed, and non-certified personnel that do not include hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, and that are provided in the individual’s home.
Live-In Services
CHHAs and CNAs live with the client in their homes. They provide companion and personal care services.
24-Hour Care
These are shifts that are provided by RNs/LPNs or CHHA/CNAs based on the 24-hours needs for the client.
